Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity reported a net income surplus of £60,683 for the year ended 31 August 2025, resulting in total unrestricted reserves increasing to £218,077. The trustees note that while income increased, staff costs rose due to minimum wage and National Insurance changes, and the charity is awaiting official confirmation of a new five-year lease to secure its future capital position.
What the accounts disclose
“The trustees wish to maintain an appropriate level of reserves to protect against fluctuating levels of income and to provide ongoing repairs and improvements to the buildings.” — page 4
“We remain mindful that the final year of our five-year rental payment is presented within the accounts with no accruals within the leasing agreement that further improves our capital position. Whilst we are hopeful, after discussions with Nottingham County Council, we will receive another five-year lease, we still await official confirmation – when we do, this will be presented as another accrual in next year’s accounts.” — page 1
