LAKE DISTRICT MOUNTAIN RESCUE SEARCH DOGS ASSOCIATION
We are a voluntary organisation dedicated to the training and use of mountain rescue search dogs to assist in the search for and rescue of missing persons, predominantly in a mountainous environment, but also in other areas where our skills may be of benefit.
Objects
THE MAIN OBJECT OF THE CHARITY SHALL BE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO TRAIN SEARCH DOGS AND HANDLERS TO ASSIST IN THE SEARCH AND RESCUE OF MISSING PERSONS, PREDOMINANTLY IN A MOUNTAIN ENVIRONMENT, BUT ALSO IN OTHER AREAS WHERE OUR SKILLS MAY BE OF BENEFIT.
Financial health, per its FY2024 accounts
The accounts state that the charity ran a deficit of £16,439 for the year, with total income of £52,224 against expenditure of £68,663. However, unrestricted reserves remain substantial at £480,014, which the trustees consider prudent given their policy to maintain a reserve of approximately four times average annual expenditure.
