Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity generated a small deficit of £318 for the year, resulting in total unrestricted funds of £58,566. Free reserves are reported at £55,653, which exceeds the stated policy target of maintaining approximately 12 months of operating costs. However, the trustees note that the going concern status is dependent on an uncertain asset transfer from Milton Keynes Council, which could impact future sustainability if the charity does not take on the building.
What the accounts disclose
“It is policy to maintain unrestricted reserves at a minimum level of approximately 12 months of operating costs.” — page 4
“If the asset was eventually transferred to a third party and the management committee's involvement in running the facilities ended, this would cast doubt over the charity's going concern status.”
