Provision of almshouses for persons who are in need by reason of poverty financial hardship or old age. In appointing residents of the almshouses belonging to the Charity the Trustee shall give preference to Freemen of the City of London or their wives, husbands, civil partners, widows, widowers, sons or daughters. Upon the death or setting aside of the appointment of one of a married couple or one partner in a civil partnership of residents the Trustee may permit the other of them to remain a resident of the Charity and to continue in occupation of the Almshouse theretofore occupied by the married couple or civil partners or to occupy such other room or rooms as those Trustee [sic] allot or those Trustee [sic] may set aside his or her appointment.
